THE MATCHUP

Afghanistan's chances of reaching the finals took a blow after they conceded a heart-wrenching loss to Pakistan, their first of this Asia Cup. But all is not lost and if they come out victorious against Bangladesh, which they have once during the group stages, they can still make it for the finals. The hype created around Bangladesh in the lead up to the tournament has so far proven to be a damp squib. Barring a comprehensive win against Sri Lanka, they have now suffered two consecutive heavy-defeats. They will hope to turn their shaky campaign around when they meet Afghanistan on Sunday, September 23.

THE PREDICTION
The head-to-head record between both teams is locked at 3-3 but Afghanistan have a superior 2-0 scoreline over Bangladesh in the Asia Cup. Going strictly by that, and their current form, Afghanistan are strong favourites to clinch this clash.
